JAKARTA: Singer Agustina Hermanto, popularly known as Tina Toon, is talking about the hard time with obesity she had growing up.

Tina, who started her career as child singer with hit song '€œBolo-bolo'€, has been battling obesity for years.

In her newly published self-titled biography, Tina said she was suffering from bulimia nervosa for over a year until she read an article on the Internet.

'€œI found out about my habit of throwing up food I just ate that can make me susceptible to heart attack and, eventually, death,'€ the 21-year-old said, as quoted by tribunnews.com during the book'€™s launch in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.

Authored by Alia Fathiyah, Tina also details the singer'€™s transformation from obese toddler to lads'€™ magazine model.

'€œI release the story of my life in a hope that it can inspire others,'€ Tina said.
