ide Wirawati, the daughter of a former Riau government official, has reported Governor Annas Maamun to the National Police for sexual harassment.
'It's painful since the victim is my daughter. When she is hurt, I am hurt too,' said Wide's father Soemardi Thaher, who is a former member of the Regional Representatives Council [DPD], as reported by Antara news agency on Sunday.
Soemardi said Wide was harassed by the governor at a room in his private home on Jl. Belimbing, Pekanbaru, Riau, on May 30, when the 38-year-old woman met Annas to sign a document pertaining to a training project at the provincial administration.
Riau province spokesman Joserizal Zen declined to comment on the allegations of sexual harassment.
