Guess what?: Denny works hard to stay in the game

J

AKARTA: Even after decades in the entertainment business, comedian and TV host Denny Chandra said he still had to work hard to give strong performances.

A comedian, he said, should be a unique character and stand out among his colleagues.

'€œBeing a comedian is quite hard because you need to be innovative, creative and educative, to have a different edge from others,'€ he was quoted by kompas.com in Jakarta.

'€œBut the difficulties I face as a comedian are nothing compared to the difficulties I face in life,'€ he joked.

The 48-year-old started his career during his college years in the 1980s by joining college cabaret group Padhyangan.

He currently hosts popular comedic current-affairs talk show Indonesia Lawak Club (Indonesian Comedic Club) with fellow comedians.
