he Sea World park in Ancol, North Jakarta, has seen its visitor numbers drop by thousands since all three hectares of the park were sealed by PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol on Saturday, said spokesperson Nila Lusiana on Tuesday.
'Only three customers came today. One jumped over a fence to get in,' she said as quoted by tempo.co.
The park has been sealed since Saturday because of an ongoing dispute at the North Jakarta District Court over its management contract. Sea World's contract with PT Ancol expired a month ago.
Sea World Indonesia president director Yongki Salim said that even though the premises were sealed, the park was still operating as normal, other than the shows being canceled. Only 41 people visited the park on Saturday, when it usually received 4,000 customers, he said.
One visitor on Tuesday, Nana, said that a security guard had tried to stop her entering the park.
'I told him that I bought a ticket to the park three weeks ago. Any conflict should be resolved internally. Customers are losing out if they keep getting blocked from entering,' she said.
