TNI personnel examined over police attack

number of personnel from the Pattimura Military Command (Kodam) XVI have been questioned over a fatal attack on Adj. First. Insp. Paulus Lekatompessy of the Nusaniwe Police.

The Kodam'€™s military police commander, Col. Ali Sadikin, said his office had examined seven of the personnel allegedly involved in the assault.

'€œWe are examining them thoroughly,'€ Ali said as quoted by kompas.com.

Paulus reportedly was attacked by a group of men at the Benteng military dormitory at dawn on Tuesday while on the way to attend a funeral of a relative. He died at a hospital in Ambon, Maluku.
