number of personnel from the Pattimura Military Command (Kodam) XVI have been questioned over a fatal attack on Adj. First. Insp. Paulus Lekatompessy of the Nusaniwe Police.
The Kodam's military police commander, Col. Ali Sadikin, said his office had examined seven of the personnel allegedly involved in the assault.
'We are examining them thoroughly,' Ali said as quoted by kompas.com.
Paulus reportedly was attacked by a group of men at the Benteng military dormitory at dawn on Tuesday while on the way to attend a funeral of a relative. He died at a hospital in Ambon, Maluku.
