s the spotlight shifts to president-elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo, outgoing President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono handed over on Friday numerous documents to the National Archive related to his activities during his 10-year tenure.
The handover, which was rich in symbolism, took place on Friday afternoon at Bogor Palace in West Java, where Yudhoyono met with National Archives head Mustari Irawan.
The documents also included numerous decrees and regulations that Yudhoyono issued, a number of bilateral and international agreements, speeches and documentation of his activities.
'The data should not just be an archive; it can also serve as an accountability report,' said Yudhoyono's special aide for information affairs, Heru Lelono.
Yudhoyono made a stop at Bogor Palace shortly after landing in Jakarta from his trip to Magelang in Central Java, as well as Yogyakarta.
The outgoing President has spent his final days in the role bidding farewell to both state officials and members of the public, as well as reminiscing about the days he served in the military.
Earlier on Friday in Magelang, Yudhoyono visited the Military Academy from which he graduated in 1973.
'Although I am no longer a president, I will continue to do my best for the country. Carry out your duties given by the next government. I wish you all luck,' said Yudhoyono, who also inaugurated a museum at the academy.
On Thursday, Yudhoyono visited the 072/Pamungkas Military Resort Command in Yogyakarta to reminisce about his days as commander of the garrison in 1995.
In Yogyakarta, the outgoing President and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono also held a 'meet-and-greet event' with 20 winners of a competition relating to Yudhoyono's Twitter account and Ani's Instagram account, at the Gedung Agung State Palace in Yogyakarta.
Yudhoyono also bid goodbye to his Cabinet members as he gathered them and their spouses on Thursday morning for a photo session in front of the State Palace, his last such event as president.

Yet, not everyone attended the event; some had given up their ministerial posts to serve as lawmakers, while others had been dismissed due to their involvement in graft cases.
Some of Yudhoyono's former ministers who now serve as lawmakers include former cooperatives and small and medium enterprises minister Syariefuddin Hasan and former transportation minister EE Mangindaan, both of whom are executives of Yudhoyono's Democratic Party and were spotted at the event.
The outgoing President held his last plenary Cabinet meeting later that day, which appeared to be more a farewell forum than a Cabinet meeting.
'I thank all of you. I also apologize if something I have done did not meet your expectations. If my attitude was unacceptable, I apologize. I had no intention of making you uncomfortable,' Yudhoyono told the meeting.
Yudhoyono also asked his ministers and other top officials to attend a welcoming ceremony he organized for Jokowi at the Palace next Monday after Jokowi's inauguration ceremony at the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) building.
On Thursday afternoon, Yudhoyono left Jakarta for Yogyakarta, before continuing his trip to Magelang the following day.
Amid preparations at the State Palace for Jokowi's inauguration, Yudhoyono had finished moving out his personal belongings, including books and souvenirs, from the palace on Thursday, said State Secretariat deputy for palace management and administration Ottyawati Adji.
'The palace is now clean,' she said.
