he Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) is investigating a bullying incident that took place at an elementary school in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra that was recorded and uploaded onto YouTube last week.
'We came to find out what happened,' said LPSK deputy head Edwin Partogi Pasaribu as quoted by Antara news agency over the weekend.
He said that the investigation would help the LPSK decide whether the victim and video uploader required protection.
Edwin further said that the LPSK's main concerns were the police's investigation of the video uploader and how to settle the case.
Last Monday, West Sumatra police questioned Febby Datuak Bangso, the video uploader, at the Bukittinggi Police office.
According to Edwin, the agency assessed that the uploader could be categorized as a whistle blower because if he did not upload the video, the incident would have never been revealed to the public.
Edwin said, however, that the agency regretted that the uploader did not censor the video first to protect the identities of the victim and the alleged perpetrators, who are all minors.
