AKARTA: Celebrity doctor Lula Kamal says that she has deep concerns about attitudes toward people with autism in Indonesia.

The 44-year-old physician, whose good looks have earned her several spots in commercials, said that she tried her best to support the autistic community in Indonesia.

'€œMy main job is to get attention from public officials as well as looking for funds,'€ Lula said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

Lula said that as of now, information about the condition was still very rare in Indonesia.

'€œAutism is a developmental condition. It is not a disease, like many people think,'€ she said.

Lula said that she had also released several videos to educate people on how to manage autistic children.
