akarta Prosecutor's Office head Adi Toegarisman announced on Wednesday the completion of the dossiers of two Jakarta International School (JIS) teachers ' Neil Bantleman and Ferdinant Tjiong ' who have been accused of sexually abusing a kindergarten student at the school.
'Following the prosecution's investigation, [Bantleman and Ferdinant's] dossiers in the JIS child sexual abuse case are ready,' he said, as quoted by tribunnews.com, but he admitted the process had taken a long time.
'The police previously submitted the dossiers to us but they were incomplete. We had to repeat the process several times before they were ready,' he said.
Adi said the two suspects would be charged under articles 80 and 82 of the 2002 Child Protection Law, which carry a maximum 15-year prison term.
He also said he expected the legal process to be conducted well. 'The prosecutors will be professional in this case,' he said.
Both Bantleman and Ferdinant have been detained for more than 90 days.
