n a huge upset win, Emerio thrashed favorite Indorama while WPP-India XI demolished the Challengers in this week'€™s cricket matches in the Apple Coal JCA League 2014-15.

At the Gandhi ground, Emerio pulled off a magnificent seven-wicket win over Indorama. Sent in to bat first, Indorama started cautiously scoring 48/2 in 12 overs and then stepped up the gas to end up at 237/6 in 35 overs.

Nitin Joshi scored 55 runs and evergreen Srikkanth remained unbeaten with 50 runs. Sandeep Salunke took four wickets. Emerio was in the driving seat throughout the chase, putting on 88/0 in 12, 198/2 in 24 overs and finally ending up at 241/3 in 30 overs. Palwinder Singh (66), Manikandan (64) and Rajat (50 not out) orchestrated the victory.

WPP-India XI crushed the Challengers by seven wickets and leap-frogged to number one spot in Division I. Electing to bat first at Cibubur, the Challengers scored 175 in 35 overs. Shekhar scored 40 and Sunil made 36 runs. Rahul and Kishore picked up three wickets apiece.

India XI reached the target losing just three wickets, with more than 10 overs to spare. Rajan remained unbeaten on 58 while Pallav scored 50 runs. The Challengers, who have lost 5 out of 6 games, run the risk of being relegated to Division II, which they had narrowly avoided last year.
