student from Trisakti Transportation Management College (STMT Trisakti) was stabbed in the arm during a student brawl in Cipinang Besar Selatan in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Monday afternoon.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto told reporters on Tuesday that the male student was immediately taken to Yadika Hospital in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.
'Jatinegara Police chief Sr. Comr. Dasril was also hit in the temple by a rock,' he said.
Rikwanto explained that the brawl started at around 3 p.m. and was eventually broken up at 10 p.m. by officers from the Jatinegara Police aided by 94 members of the Jakarta Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob).
The police arrested two students thought to have incited the brawl. (***)
