Just one day after the Jakarta Corruption Court made a new revelation about the role of former forestry minister Zulkifli Hasan in the graft-ridden land-conversion permit in Riau, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday raided his former office to collect more evidence on the involvement of the current People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) speaker in another graft case.
Your comments:
Let's face it, the forestry ministry is easily one of the most corrupt offices in the government. Millions of rupiah are paid off to ministry officials for granting land permits for oil palm plantations and for stripping forests of their valuable old growth hardwood trees. I myself was witness to a governor being given a free trip to Paris by a company that wanted to do some logging.

I wonder how many of the current members of the House will end up in jail before their tenure is up in five years time?
