he Jakarta Transportation Agency will deploy 17 tow trucks to keep the capital's thoroughfares free of illegally parked vehicles during the Jakarta Night Festival (JNF) on Wednesday evening, kompas.com has reported.
The agency's operational and management division head, Syafrin Liputo, said three tow trucks would be on stand by at the National Monument [Monas] area, while the rest would be deployed to Hotel Indonesia traffic circle and other spots.
He said the owners of the towed cars would have to pay a Rp 500,000 (US$40) fine to recover their vehicles.
Parking will be available at the IRTI parking area at Monas, Parkir Timur Senayan, Istiqlal Mosque, the City Police headquarters and parking lots of buildings along the thoroughfares.
