hina has sent a ship and a team of aviation experts to Indonesia to assist in the search for the wreckage and flight recorder of AirAsia flight QZ8501, which are currently lying at the bottom of the Karimata Strait.
According to a statement by the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta China has sent the Nan Hai Jiu 101 rescue vessel belonging to the country's transportation ministry as well as three black box experts from the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration to assist in the search for the aircraft that crashed on Dec. 28 with the loss of all 162 people on board.
The Chinese experts were scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on Tuesday and continue their journey to Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan, the nearest town to the crash site.
Teams from the United States, Russia, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore have been sent to the Karimata Strait in the Java Sea to help in the search operation. (dyl)(++++)
