Police identify eight more victims from AirAsia jet on Wednesday

s of the 11th day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation surrounding AirAsia flight QZ8501, the East Java Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team has identified the bodies of eight more of the 162 people on board the Airbus A320.
The East Java Police's medical and health department chief, Brig. Gen. Budiyono, announced on Wednesday afternoon that the DVI team had identified eight bodies, numbered B007, B010, B011, B012, B014, B017, B023 and B032, which had been recovered by the SAR team between the first day of operation through to last week.
'Based on primary identification data, such as teeth and matching DNA with the father, the body labeled B007 is Ratri Sri Andriyani, a 30-year-old female who lived in Surabaya [East Java],' Budiyono told the press at a conference in Surabaya.
The bodies labeled B011 and B012 were said to be those of Jou Christine Yuanita and Soetikno Sia, respectively.
Jou Christine Yuanita was a 62-year-old female, while Soetikno Sia was a 60-year-old male. Both lived in Surabaya.
The body labeled B010 was that of Ruth Natalia Made Puspitasari, a 26-year-old female who resided in Blitar, East Java.
'The body labeled B014 is Indah Juliansih, a 44-year-old woman from Surabaya. We found matching ante-mortem and post-mortem data, and we also found a necklace with a pendant with the initial L on her body, which the family confirmed belonged to Indah,' he said, adding that B017 was a 17-year-old male student named Nico Giovani from Surabaya.
In addition, the bodies numbered B023 and B032 were those of Rudy Soetjipto and Stephanie Yulianto.
'Rudy was a 54-year-old man from Malang [East Java], while Stephanie was a young girl, 14 years old, who resided in Probolinggo [East Java],' he added.
In total, he said, the police had identified 24 of 40 bodies that had been recovered from the Karimata Strait in the Java Sea. (nfo)(+++)
