According to the decree, each of the victims is entitled to receive up to Rp 1.25 billion (US$98,625) in compensation.
'For validation of beneficiaries, AirAsia has also involved a number of notaries and lawyers so they can arrange for the payment of claims to those legally entitled to get them,' said Sadikin.

'The post will later provide information to the families, including advocacy and mediation on various requirements to get the insurance payouts,' said Yunno.
The post has been set up on the fourth floor of the Bank Indonesia building at No. 105, Jl. Pahlawan, Surabaya, it will be open from Monday until Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
