Five Supiori residents were reported missing after they travelled from Arbur village to Miosbifondi island in North Supiori on a 15-horsepower-boat.

'€œThe journey from the village to Miosbifondi usually takes around six hours; up till now, however, the whereabouts of the boat and all of its passengers remains unknown,'€ said Riyatan.

Two of the five passengers '€“ Melkias Kafiar and Vince Kapitarau '€“ are teachers while the remaining three missing persons are Frans Kafiar, Fredrik Kafiar and Mika Sawor. The boat was reportedly also carrying 10 packages of cements and a pushcart.
