ussian citizen Magnaeva Aleksandra, 26, is expected to soon stand trial after the Bali and Denpasar prosecutor'€™s offices submitted her case files to the court on Wednesday.

Accompanied by lawyer Bernadin, Aleksandra arrived at the Denpasar Prosecutor'€™s Office as part of administrative procedures.

After the submission of her case files, she will be transferred to Kerobokan Penitentiary in Badung.

'€œShe is aware that she will be transferred to the prison. Her trial date will be decided by the district court later,'€ prosecutor Ida Ayu Ketut Surasmi said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Aleksandra has been charged with violating articles of Law No. 35/2009 on narcotics and could face a minimum four-year sentence and maximum 12-year sentence.

Aleksandra was arrested by customs officers at Ngurah Rai International Airport on Dec. 7, 2014, in possession of 2 kilograms of crystal meth in her suitcase. (***)
