span class="inline inline-center">Having a lot of gadgets never brings Sapto Djojokartiko any trouble. Instead, the latest tech tools help the designer do his work and keep him entertained.

'€œI have lots of smartphones, tablets, cameras, etc. I don'€™t frequently use them all, but they have their own uses,'€ he said.

He said he liked to keep up with trends in technology, always updating his software and upgrading his gadgets.

'€œThey'€™re very important to support my life, so I like to update my gadgets '€” especially my phones '€” to the newest versions,'€ Sapto said.

Sapto, born in Surakarta, Central Java, said that he knew that he wanted to be a designer since he was in high school. After winning several fashion design competitions, he followed up his passion by studying at the ESMOD Jakarta fashion school in 1997.

He established his first line in 2007, which gradually began producing couture, bridal and ready-to-wear items. His designs are known to often feature culturally-inspired motifs on textured materials.

Now, he has been focusing on developing his prêt-à-porter line, planning to make it available to more customers in more stores.

Smartphones

I have a BlackBerry, a Samsung Galaxy S4 and an iPhone 5s. I rarely open my BlackBerry, but I sometimes turn it on '€” once in every two weeks '€” just to check if there'€™s someone looking for me through that number. I use my Samsung mostly to communicate, either by phone, text message, or by WhatsApp because a lot of people know the number used in it.

The iPhone is for fun: to browse ideas, update social media and listen to music. I love browsing music on iTunes. If I find singers that I like, I will buy their songs or albums on iTunes. I am against piracy.

I also like to print my own smartphone cases and I have lots of them. I look for the images of my designs, and I print it and use it to protect my phones.

Applications

I love Pinterest so much. It'€™s like a bank of ideas. I regularly open it, just to see what'€™s new on the feed. I use Instagram mostly for work and to promote my designs. I also use Path for work but sometimes for more personal stuff.

I like reading news, especially politics, so I have lots of news portal applications on my iPhone that I read every day to know what is happening.

Loudspeakers

I collect loudspeakers. I like to bring Bose bluetooth portable speakers when I go on holiday so I can enjoy music everywhere I am. For headphones and earphones, I like Beats by Dre and I use them to accompany my workout.
