Police locate fugitive Labora

P

apua Police chief Insp. Gen. Yotje Mende has given his assurances that police officer Adj. First Insp. Labora Sitorus, convicted of money laundering, fuel hoarding and illegal logging offenses, is still in Sorong, West Papua.

'€œHe is still in Sorong, not at his house but in the field,'€ Yotje Mende said in Jayapura as quoted by Antara news agency on Wednesday.

He said information regarding Labora'€™s whereabouts was collected during a police investigation. Yotje said he had coordinated with the Sorong Police chief with regard to the case.

'€œI have just called the Sorong city police chief, to inform him that the case was initially processed from here and that they have to follow up what the West Papua Police and higher prosecutors'€™ office have asked for,'€ he said, adding that two police officers had been sent as backup to help locate and arrest Sitorus.
