T

he Jordanian interior minister says Jordan is going after Islamic State group militants wherever they are and plans to "wipe them out completely."

Hussein al-Majali's comments, published Saturday, were the latest in a series of Jordanian warnings of harsh retaliation after the militants released a video of them burning the airman to death in a cage.

Jordanian fighter jets struck Islamic State group weapons depots and training sites Thursday and Friday. The kingdom joined a U.S.-led military coalition in September, but said after the killing of the pilot it would intensify its air attacks.

Al-Majali told the state-run al-Rai newspaper that Jordan will track down the militants "wherever they are." He says this week's strikes are "the beginning of an ongoing process to eliminate them and wipe them out completely." (*)
