resident Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, at noon on Saturday as a part of his five-day introductory visit to three ASEAN countries.
As soon as the President and first lady arrived at the Brunei Darussalam International Airport, they were picked up by state officials and taken to Nurul Iman Bandar Seri Begawan Palace, Antara news agency reported.
On his first day in Brunei, the President is scheduled to participate in a bilateral meeting between the two countries and sign a number of business agreements at the Palace.
After that, Jokowi is set to visit some historical sites in Brunei and enjoy a gala dinner with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and his wife.
He will also visit liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and meet Indonesian nationals who live in Brunei on Sunday before departing to the Philippines. (nfo)
