egistration for the Holland Scholarship, a new Dutch scholarship program, starts on Monday, according to Neso Indonesia, a Dutch education representative office.
"The program will enable 768 international students annually to study for a bachelor's or master's degree in the Netherlands," Neso Indonesia said in a statement.
In addition, 768 Dutch students will have the opportunity to study, take up an internship or carry out research in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of three months.
"The aim of the Holland Scholarship program is to raise the profile of Dutch higher education and to encourage student mobility both into and out of the Netherlands," the statement said.
The Holland Scholarship program is designed to enhance the quality of university education through the international classroom. At the same time, the program is expected to help ensure that the Netherlands remains a great place to study.
Dutch students will receive a scholarship of '¬1,250 to study, take up an internship or carry out research in a country outside the EEA, the statement said.
For international students from outside the EEA, there are scholarships of '¬5,000 for a full bachelor's or master's degree. (hhr)
