A

suspected bomb explosion rocked ITC Depok, a crowded shopping mall located next to the City Hall on Jl. Margonda Raya, Depok, West Java, on Monday evening.

The explosion, which occurred at Mezzanine, a children'€™s play area on the second floor, caused panic among shoppers.

'€œI was very shocked. The sound of the explosion was very loud,'€ said Djoko, a ITC Depok visitor who ran for safety outside the mall building, as quoted by Antara on Monday.

The Gegana bomb-disposal squad from the National Police'€™s elite Mobile Brigade (Brimob) in Kelapa Dua, Jakarta, has been dispatched to the scene to secure the area.

There are no reports as yet on injuries. The police have sealed off the location for further investigation. (ebf)(++++)
