olice have arrested a 19-year-old university student who was allegedly in possession of 18 small packets of marijuana.

The student, who hails from Koto Majidin Mudik village in Kerinci regency, attended university at one of the universities in Sungai Penuh city, Jambi. He was arrested on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Jambi Police chief spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Almansyah said the young man was arrested at a car wash located between Air Hangat and Siulak Gedang villages.

'€œHe was in possession of the evidence, which was seized by the Kerinci Police,'€ said Almansyah on Wednesday.

He added that the man would undergo a urine test.

'€œA sample of the evidence has been sent to the Jambi Food and Drug Monitoring Agency for analysis,'€ said Almansyah.
