The defending champion opened a seven-point gap over FC Porto, which hosts third-place Sporting Lisbon on Sunday.
Defender Luisao opened the scoring in the 16th minute when he headed in a pass from Luis "Pizzi" Afonso.
Eduardo Salvio, Pizzi and Jonas added goals before halftime.
Lima then converted a penalty before Estoril's Anderson Esiti was sent off for a second booking in the 70th. Jonas got his second goal with four to play.
Fourth-place Braga also won 2-0 at Rio Ave to pull within one point of Sporting.
Boavista drew 1-1 at Gil Vicente.
Nacional's home match with Setubal was postponed until Sunday because of fog. (**)
