Standing in the crowd Passengers pack onto a platform at Tanah Abang train station in Central Jakarta on Friday. Commuter train operator PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) will change the fare scheme from per station to per kilometer as of April 1. A passenger will pay Rp 2,000 (15 US cents) for the first 25 kilometers and another Rp 1,000 for every subsequent 10 kilometers.
