Korean boy band 2PM was back in Jakarta, entertaining Indonesian Hottest ' the name chosen for their fans ' in a show at Istora Senayan in South Jakarta on Saturday.
Named after the hottest time of day in South Korea, the singing and dancing group ' consisting of Junho, Jun K, Taecyeon, Nickhun, Wooyoung and Chansung ' performed in Jakarta as a part of their Go Crazy World Tour. After completing the Southeast Asian leg of their tour, the group will move on to China.
The tour will perhaps be the last for the group for the next couple of years.
The members of 2PM, except for Thai national Nickhun, will start their mandatory military service later this year. The enlistment period will take around two years to complete.
Before the hiatus, each member renewed contracts with management agency JYP Entertainment.
'Even after six years, we still have the best teamwork and always try to stay together as a group,' said Jun K.
As the producer of Go Crazy!, the title track of their latest album, Jun K said the album represented the real character of 2PM.
'We are fun and edgy,' he said during a press conference on Friday, which was followed by a fan meeting at the Ice Palace in Lotte Shopping Avenue located in South Jakarta.
The band has already visited Jakarta four times, both as a single act and also performing alongside other Korean pop groups.
'I have learned that Indonesians love ballads and I also like ST12 songs. We'd like to meet them while here and perhaps work together with them,' said Taecyeon, the rapper of the group.
Other members shook their heads in disapproval after learning that ST12 no longer exists.
Each of the members has developed their own career path aside from singing, as actors and entrepreneurs.
'We don't have time to go around Indonesia because of our tight schedule,' said Chansung.
'But we will visit Lombok next time. All six of us together,' added Junho, the group leader.
