Several analysts predicted that the JCI would continue to strengthen, after closing up 0.77% on Monday to the level of 5,438.66.
David N. Sutyanto, an analyst with First Asia Capital, attributed the strengthening of the JCI to good financial reports by issuers in 2014.
In the international market, the JCI got support from rising oil prices, which rebounded due to conflict in the Middle East. (hhr)
