T

he Bogor City Tourism and Creative Economy Agency will tell the story of the West Java city through a 20-minute animated movie to schoolchildren.

"The storyline is based on Bogor'€™s history from the Padjadjaran kingdom era, the colonization era and the present era," agency chief Shahlan Rasyidi said as quoted by Antara news agency on Tuesday.

He added that the movie, which was shown at Kemuning Gading arts building on Tuesday, had been made in collaboration with the Bogor movie community.

'€œThis is our effort to promote and educate people, especially students, to know Bogor'€™s history and culture,'€ he said.

The agency invited all elementary and junior high school students in Bogor to watch the film. Almost 200 students attended the one-day event that included three showings.

Students were also encouraged to participate in a question and answer session and discussion on Bogor city.

'€œI am happy to attend this event because I am studying multimedia. Seeing this animated film makes me feel more enthusiastic to learn about how to make animated films,'€ said Setiana, 16, a Taruna Terpadu vocational high school student who accompanied students from Cilendek elementary school.
