P

resident Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo'€™s recent trip to his hometown of Surakarta, Central Java, was to prepare for the wedding of his eldest son Gibran Rakabuming.

Surakarta Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo, who served as Jokowi'€™s deputy when he was the mayor of the Central Java town, said that he had been briefed by Jokowi about the plan.

'€œHe went home to Surakarta for three days for personal matters. I have no courage to bother him, but I met him and he told me that he was preparing for the wedding,'€ Hadi said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Hadi declined to give more details about Jokowi'€™s plan.

Gibran, now 27, runs a catering business in Surakarta and has been known to be media-shy.

Jokowi has three children from his marriage to First Lady Iriana '€” Gibran, Kahiyang Ayu, 23, and Kaesang Pangarep, 19 '€” who were a regular presence during their father'€™s presidential campaign last year.
