AKARTA: A family consisting of a father, mother and son from Bengkulu were found dead inside their car on Jl. Bekasi Barat I in Rawa Bening, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Friday.

The victims were identified as Buyung Hardianto, 47, Desti, 28, and Chandra, 4. Police said locals found the family on the street on Friday at 5:30 a.m. in Daihatsu Grand Max.

'€œThey lived in the car. When they were found, the window glasses were rolled up, but the doors were unlocked,'€ Jatinegara Police chief Comr. Dasril said on Friday as quoted by tribunnews.com.

He said the police suspected that the family died after inhaling mosquito repellent incense, as they found the remnants of the incense inside the car.

Muharman, Desti'€™s brother, said his sister had been going back and forth from Bengkulu to Jakarta to sell gemstones for the past two months.
