joint team consisting 60 officers of the Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Agency (KUMKMP) and the Jakarta National and Political Unity Office confiscated 20 bottles of alcoholic drinks in a raid in North Jakarta on Monday.
The raids were carried out on 25 convenience stores throughout the municipality following the issuance of Trade Ministry Regulation No. 6/2015. The regulation stipulates that beverages with alcohol contents ranging between 1 and 5 percent can only be sold in supermarkets.
'We found that many convenience stores were no longer selling alcohol, except one in Kelapa Gading where our officers found 20 bottles of various alcoholic drinks in the warehouse,' North Jakarta KUMKMP head Rosita Tambunan said as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
