he Denpasar District Court sentenced on Tuesday US citizens Tommy Schaefer and partner Heather Lois Mack to 18 years and 10 years in prison, respectively, for killing Mack's mother.
Schaefer, 21, and Mack, 19, were charged under Article 340 of the Criminal Code on premeditated murder. The body of the victim, 62-year-old Sheila Ann von Wiese-Mack, was stuffed into a suitcase and put into a taxi trunk on Aug. 12, 2014 by the young couple in Nusa Dua, where the three had been vacationing.
The couple killed Von Wiese-Mack during a fight in which the victim opposed their relationship. (++++)
