PP India XI came up with a scintillating all-round performance to crush GMIS by a whopping nine wickets with over 25 overs to spare at Cibubur. GMIS must have rued their decision to bat first as they slumped to 40/4 after 12 overs before being bundled out for just 74 in 25.4 overs. Only Naresh Gupta (20) offered any resistance with the bat while the WPP bowling trio of Pankaj Jain (4 for 11), skipper Pallav Malhotra (2 for 7) and Kishore Gunwani (2 for 15) ran riot with the ball. Chasing a small target of just 75, WPP India XI breezed to 76/1 in only 9.4 overs with Gaurav Pathak hammering 36 and Dwaraknath Naidu remaining unbeaten on 29.

Over at the GMIS ground, TKCC'€™s Hitesh Malhotra'€™s excellent all-round effort guided his team to a four-wicket victory over Indorama and in the process sent the losers down to Division 2 next season. Electing to bat first, Indorama recovered from a poor start of 50/4 (12 overs) to reach 106/6 in 24 overs before being bowled out for 162 in 32.4 overs. Govind Sodani returned to form with a solid 75 not out while Hitesh Malhotra (3 for 32) and Swaroop Chavan (2 for 30) were the chief wicket-takers for TKCC. In reply, TKCC found itself in a spot of bother at 65/5 in 12 overs but Dipak Grover (80) and Hitesh Malhotra (60 not out) figured in a match-winning partnership to take TKCC to 163/6 in 24.5 overs. Ashish Khaitan (5 for 20) bowled his heart out for Indorama but it was not enough to reverse the result.
