Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Unggung Cahyono stated on Wednesday that the police and the Jakarta administration had met with the leaders of workers' organization.
The workers had pledged a peaceful May Day demonstration in Jakarta that would be free from vandalism and toll-road blockades, but Unggung said that the police need to anticipate any possible security breach during the celebration, Antara news agency reported.(+++)
