ary Jane Fiesta Veloso, a death-row inmate of the Philippines, was taken back to her cell at Wirogunan Penitentiary in Yogyakarta after her execution was postponed on Wednesday.
Antara news agency reported on Wednesday that Veloso was transported by car from Nusakambangan Island to Yogyakarta under the escort of Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel.
'Mary Jane was just brought to Yogyakarta in a green car with a Brimob escort,' Antara quoted a reliable source as saying.
The head of the Central Java Law and Human Rights Agency, Yushpahruddin, acknowledged that he had been informed that Veloso had been taken back to Yogyakarta.
Attorney General HM Prasetyo said in Jakarta on Wednesday that his side was waiting for the right to time to execute Veloso.
He claimed that the move by Veloso and her lawyers was taken simply to buy time. (rms)
