resident Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has said the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS), the Bakauheni quay and double track railway will support the distribution of logistics for both the agriculture and plantation sectors in all provinces across Sumatra island when the facilities are complete.
'Industrial areas around the toll road will develop more significantly. This will support Indonesia's economic growth,' he said on Thursday.
The president was speaking at an event to mark the groundbreaking of the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road construction project in Sabahbalau village, Tanjungbintang district, South Lampung.
The Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road is part of the 2,818-kilometer JTTS project. (ebf)
