T

he chief of the police'€™s Detective Corps, Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso, received support from Jakarta Governor Basuki '€œAhok'€ Tjahaja Purnama on Monday to question a number of civil servants in connection with a graft case investigation regarding the 2014 procurement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units.

'€œI met with Pak governor to coordinate follow up on the UPS graft case. We have to ask for his permit to question his staff in our investigation into the case,'€ he said as quoted by kompas.com.

Budi, accompanied by Ahok, said that to expedite the questioning, the governor'€™s staff would be questioned in their own working environment so it would not substantially disturb their daily activities.

The police also questioned City Council deputy chairman Abraham '€œLulung'€ Lunggana for the second time as a witness in the case. (rms)(+++)
