KPK open to military personnel: Chairman

T

he chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Taufiqurrahman Ruki, is confirming the commission has several vacant positions that are open to all people with various backgrounds, including those with military service.

He also admitted that he has asked the Indonesian Military (TNI) to fill the commission'€™s vacant secretary-general post.

'€œIf an official is suitably competent, it is not wrong if the position is filled by a military official so that the military is officially joined with the commission,'€ kompas.com quoted him as saying here on Friday.

He said the commission has several strategic positions that have been left vacant, including investigation director, internal supervision director, legal bureau chief and public relations officer.

He added that the deputy prevention position would become vacant immediately because the current official would be returned to the Attorney General'€™s Office.

He acknowledged that the commission has offered the vacant jobs to certain universities, law enforcement institutions, ministries and the TNI. (rms) (++++)
