Dinda Kanya Dewi says she's been wearing a her late mother's black akik ring long before the gemstone frenzy took the country by storm.
'She said 'wear this stone because it can absorb negative auras',' the movie and sinetron (local soap opera) actress said at a fashion event in Jakarta on Saturday, as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
'Frankly, I don't have any idea what kind of stone it is,' the 28-year-old added.
However, Dinda dded that she sported the ring due to its simple design and not for its supposed mystical powers.
'Negative or not [one's aura] depends on the person,' said Dinda, who recently starred in Billy Christian's horror movie Tuyul (Child Ghost).
