'Inside Out'
Release date: Aug 19, 2015
After presenting the adventures of curmudgeon and an 8-year-old boy in Up, director Pete Docter is working on Inside Out, a story about five emotions in the mind of a girl named Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father gets a new job in San Francisco.
'It is a film about five emotions in 11-year-old girl's head and it's really unique, it's very funny but very touchy and very emotional film,' Morris said.
'The Good Dinosaur'
Release Date: Nov. 25, 2015
Once upon a time, there was Arlo, an apatosaurus with a big heart, who embarks on a remarkable journey with an unlikely companion ' a human boy.
'They are enemies at first but they build this relationship and are kind of forced together on a journey of survival. It is really a coming-of-age story for the dinosaur,' Morris says. 'It's set in nature and it has these expansive worlds ['¦.] some of them were actuallY created by taking geological data.'
'Finding Dory'
Release date: June 16, 2016
Remember Dory? A Pacific regal blue tang with short-term memory loss who accompanies a clownfish searching for Nemo? After directing Finding Nemo, Andrew Stanton will present us the (hopefully unforgettable) adventure of Dory.
'He [Stanton] wasn't interested in making another film in that world but then came up with an idea,' Morris said. 'He is making that. And that's sort of our approach ' we actually don't make another film or sequel or anything like that. It must have the director of the original film behind it.'
'Toy Story 4'
Release date: 2017
The fourth installment of Toy Story will take a new turn: Love. Taking the helm is John Lasseter, Pixar's chief creative officer and the director of the first two films of the franchise.
Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, who previously penned the romantic-comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever, will write the script.
'It doesn't try to be the next chapter for the first three. It's kind of the new chapter and it's a love story,' Morris said. 'It is a little bit more internal to these characters, and a little less about their interaction with the kids. They [Jones and McCormack] are really bringing kind of unique sensibility to it, which is great.'
