oreign Ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir confirmed on Thursday that the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, had received a terror threat.

The Nigerian police are investigating the terror threat, which was sent by a group identifying itself as MOG.

'€œIn principle, all threats aimed at Indonesian embassies, consulates and diplomatic staff are taken seriously. We have a standard procedure to respond to such threats,'€ he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Arrmanatha explained that after receiving the terror threat, the embassy coordinated with Nigerian security authorities and was accessing to what extent the embassy, envoys and diplomatic staff would be affected.

He said the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Australia, received a similar terror threat recently and after adequate analysis, several certain steps were taken to minimize the threat.(rms) (++++)
