akarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tajahaja Purnama arrived at the State Palace on Friday morning to discuss development programs in the city with the President.
'I want to meet the President to report on several matters regarding the Asian Games, transportation development and the disbursement of the city's budget,' he said as quoted by kompas.com.
He said the city administration was facing several problems, including the cancellation of projects previously inserted in the revised budget and contracts at the Jakarta Procurement Agency (LKPP).
'We need an umbrella regulation for logistics procurement contracts. If the LKPP has an umbrella regulation it would be easier for us,' he said as quoted by kompas.com.
A number of projects in the city have been suspended due to a recent conflict between the governor and Jakarta councilors. (rms)
