The body of the Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan'€™s wife, Hery Listyawati, who died in an accident in Pakistan, arrived at the Yogyakarta Adi Sucipto International Airport on Thursday afternoon for a funeral.

Her body was transported on a CN A 29-50 aircraft and was officially handed over to Foreign Affairs Minister Retno LP Marsudi by Pakistani Minister of Defense and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain.

'€œI feel a great loss. On behalf of the Pakistani people I convey our deepest condolences to the Indonesian government, to the people of Indonesia and to her family,'€ Hussain said in his remark.

Hery, according to Hussain, was an important figure who patiently attended to the Indonesian community in Pakistan.

'€œThanks to her hard work, the Pakistani-Indonesian relationship has been getting more and more harmonious,'€ he said.

He also asked all parties to pray for Burhan Muhammad, the Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan, who was currently being treated at a hospital in Singapore for serious burns.

'€œMay the ambassador get well soon,'€ Husaen said.

Hery was with her husband when the helicopter accident occured, reportedly because of a technical problem.

They were on board a M-17 Pakistani military helicopter during a visit by ambassadors and high commissioners to Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, under the invitation of the Pakistani Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Hery is survived by her husband and their two sons, Fitria Amrullah and Yoga Sulistyo Burhan.

Minister Retno expressed gratitude to the Pakistani government for facilitating the sending home of Hery'€™s body.

Also joining the hand-over ceremony at the airport was Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Bawono X and his wife, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas.

Hery'€™s body was taken to her family'€™s house on Jl. Haji Agus Salim 57, Yogyakarta, before being taken to the Warungboto public cemetery in Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta.

'€œPak Burhan wanted her to be buried in Warungboto,'€ Hery'€™s elder sister, Hery Widyawati, said, adding that the grave had been prepared two days ago.

Separately, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Andri Hadi told The Jakarta Post that Burhan Muhammad arrived in Singapore on Wednesday morning for the treatment of burns at the Singapore General Hospital'€™s burns center.

Andri said his embassy had set up a special team to monitor the treatment at the facility, regarded as the best burn treatment center in Southeast Asia. Previous reports stated that the envoy had sustained severe burns over 70 percent of his body, which is considered critical in medical circles.

'€œHe has been in the treatment ward. He is still under treatment,'€ Andri said Wednesday.

Andri said Burhan had been expected to arrive in Singapore on Monday, but experienced a drop in his health on his way from Islamabad to Singapore such that he had to stop in Chennai, India, for treatment to stabilize his condition.

Minister Retno told the Post separately Thursday that Burhan had successfully undergone an initial surgery to tend to the severe burns that he sustained in the helicopter crash.

'€œPak Burhan underwent his first surgery [Wednesday] and is in stable condition,'€ Retno said.
