resident Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has issued Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 7/2017 on corruption eradication.
With the new regulation, Jokowi hoped to step up corruption eradication efforts in the country, the Cabinet Secretariat said in a statement.
The instruction is addressed to members of his Cabinet, the Cabinet Secretariat, attorney general, National Police chief, governors, regents and mayors.
In the new Inpres, the president requires all ministries and other government institutions to coordinate with the national development planning minister/head of the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas) in their fight against graft.
Local administrations have also been ordered to consult with the Home Ministry in their anticorruption efforts.
