Exam sheets sent to Jakarta'€™s elementary schools, says agency

The Jakarta Education Agency said it had distributed national examination sheets for Jakarta'€™s elementary schools on Saturday.

The elementary level exam will be held from Monday to Wednesday next week. '€œWe have distributed the question sheets to five locations. We have also conducted a video conference to discuss the simultaneous distribution to these locations,'€ Jakarta Education Agency head Arie Budhiman said in Jakarta on Saturday as quoted by Antara news agency.

The five locations for distribution points were SDN Menteng 03 elementary school, Central Jakarta; SD Jubilee private elementary school, North Jakarta; SD Al Azhar 1 Kebayoran Baru private elementary school, South Jakarta; SD Sevilla private elementary school, East Jakarta; SD Notre Dame private elementary school, West Jakarta as well as one school in Thousand Islands.

There were 153,134 national exam sheets distributed by the agency inside 9,404 envelopes.

The question sheets for the elementary schools amount to 140,704 sheets, while for the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Muslim elementary schools they amount to 12,430 sheets.

He added that preparation for the elementary students'€™ national exam had been thorough, especially as the questions were not entirely composed by the Culture and Elementary and Secondary Education Ministry as was the case for junior high school and high school national exams.

'€œSeventy five percent of the question sheets are under the responsibility of the Jakarta Education Agency, while the remaining 25 percent are under the responsibility of the ministry,'€ Arie said. (fsu) (++++)
