ndonesia'€™s hopes to advance to the finals of the Sudirman Cup were crushed as women'€™s doubles Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii lost against China'€™s Tang Yuangting/Yuyang in the semifinals in Dongguan, China, on Saturday.

The Indonesian duo lost in the match against China 21-17, 17-21, 15-21, which resulted in the Chinese team victory 3-1 against Indonesia after two previous losses.

The final match secured China'€™s spot in the finals on Sunday with the winner of the matches between South Korea and Japan.

Men'€™s doubles Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan scored the first point for Indonesia in the semifinals after their win against Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng 16-21, 17-21.

However, the Indonesian women'€™s singles Bellaetrix Manuputty had to withdraw from the match with Li Xuerui because of an injury, while men'€™s singles Jonatan Christie and women'€™s doubles Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii lost to their respective opponents.

Jonatan was defeated 21-10, 21-15, against China'€™s Chen Long. (fsu) (++++)
