Wianda Pusponegoro - Antara
State-owned gas company Pertamina is set to develop and operate 22 natural gas filling stations (SPBG) across Jakarta this year in order to support the central government's gasoline-to-gas conversion program.
Pertamina spokeswoman Wianda Pusponegoro said the 22 SPBGs would be located in Pulogadung, Pulogebang and Cililitan in East Jakarta; Ragunan in South Jakarta; and Plumpang in North Jakarta. Each SPBG, she said, would have an equivalent capacity of 30,000 liters of Premium gasoline.
Some SPBGs, were already ready for operation, Wianda said.
She added that Pertamina would also provide seven mobile refueling units, each with a capacity of 1,800 liters of Premium gasoline equivalent. She said the development would be funded by the central government and with investments by Pertamina.
'There are long queues for the very limited numbers of existing SPBGs in Jakarta. Hopefully, the new SPBGs will be able to reduce those queues,' Wianda said at City Hall on Friday.
