ndonesian and Malaysian counselors gathered for the fourth Malindo international counseling seminar and workshop in Bali to help prepare the human resources of both countries to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
The event, hosted by the Teachers' Training Institute (IKIP) PGRI Bali, was held from Friday to Saturday and attended by a total of 327 counselors.
'Indonesia and Malaysia are neighboring countries, so both should complement, take advantage of and benefit each other. Malaysia needs skilled workers and Indonesia has to prepare a high quality of workers through professional counseling to face the globalization,' said Bali deputy governor Ketut Sudikerta in his opening speech on Friday night as quoted by Antara news agency.
The AEC is to be established by the end of the year. (fsu)(++++)
